Packing tips for children
This can take a while!
Carry on Bag:
- chose a bag with enough pockets, side pockets for drink bottles, front pocket for change of undies, socks, shirt etc and main pocket for toys might work, inside pocket for wipes, tissues, aeroplane lollies etc.
- try not to overpack, you need to be able to put things away in the bag while herding kids.
- know where you have put each item in the bag so if you need something and have to ask you partner to get it you can explain exactly where it is in the bag, keep it simple.
- try and keep the number of bags to a minimum, you may not be able to get a trolly in some airports so only pack the number of bags you can carry within the family. If older the kids could carry their own back pack or trolly bag and parents with a bag each, as long as you have free hands to keep kids in tow.
